10.5.2 came out, and it has some great fixes and new stuff. I particularly like the new Stack options. What I didn’t like was finding an iSync menu icon. I think the menu is already to cluttered, and I dont have, or use .Mac so I wanted it gone.
I tried System Preferences, but it wasn’t there. To remove it you need to go to the preferences on iSync. This may seem logical, but I had never even opened iSync on my computer. So anyway once I knew it was simple.
By The way, if you are looking to change the translucency of your menu bar, the option is under Desktop in System Preferences, not Appearance, which would have made more sense to me.
Or you can just hold down the Apple/Command key and drag it out of your menu bar.
Wow thanks. That’s a heaps better tip that mine.
Yeah, apparently people get the iSync icon confused, thinking it is a MobileMe icon instead – http://blog.gingergeek.com/2009/06/how-to-remove-the-isync-mobileme-icon-from-menu-bar/
